Ever since we opened our doors in 1987 collectors have asked questions about natural and artifical toning. With no written material in print, learning the dynamics of toning has been a slow and frustrating process for collectors.
Things are about to change.
This page on our web site will take months to complete. Indeed it may never be done, as new theories continually emerge. We will constantly add new information about toning, so in a few months this page will represent a veritable encyclopedia about toning. And it's all free!
A picture is worth a thousand words. With this in mind, dozens of high-resolution scans of both naturally and artificially toned coins will teach you to be a toning expert. Of couse, there is no substitute for experience, so use the color images as a platform to launch your collection.
Your ideas and constructive criticism will ensure this page's success. Please contact us anytime with your suggestions via e-mail or by telephone at (262) 238-8772. We want the information contained herein to further your numismatic education, so you are invited to help create this page.
